Finally it’s that time. B. Scott has been teasing us for weeks and weeks and it has finally hit the net. The most honest, truthful and intimate interview that Mariah Carey has ever given, covering issues like Mimi’s experience as a mixed race child, future plans of music and family.
Big shout out to my favourite, B. Scott from lovebscott.com
Did you really think that the diva of all divas is going to be content with just one low key wedding? Well, MSNBC reports, that there is going to be a part two of Nick & Mariah. An insider reveals,
It’s going to be held in New York City in the next six weeks. Picture a wedding on the scale of Liza Minnelli’s (to David Gest) and you’ll be on the right track
In the meantime, Mariah’s former boyfriend of four years, the co-producer of her successful E=MC² still can’t believe how quick things happened for Mariah after they split up earlier this year. C’est la vie.
Mariah Carey was on Oprah on Monday 14/04/2008 to promote her new studio album E=MC². I think that there was a very strange chemistry between her and Oprah and some foot-in-mouth moments. rivermill6661 on youtube was naughty enough to upload the entire interview:
A couple of things bothered me about it all. The fact that Mariah, at the age of 38, has to give in to public and media pressure and tighten her workout routine and change her diet! Mimi, what’s going on, for the past ten years you didn’t really mind about it all. Sure, you did get people to photoshop you on covers and edit your videos (or is that just evil allegations?!) But that was -as sad as that is- essential to your career. You do look fabulous, but people now know the reason why you’re successful and it’s your voice, not your figure.
I think it was classic how often Mariah referred to Oprah’s diet on the show – clearly she isn’t on one, so stop mentioning it (why was this interview so strong on the dieting anyway? And now that I think about it, so was the Janet So Excited era interview – hmmm… Oprah seems to have issues!)
Is it me or did Oprah get a bit bitchy with Mariah and vice versa?!
Mariah “Well, you get to stay here because you are you, so people cook for you”
Oprah “I don’t have that. I cook myself”
Oprah “I’ve never been at her house, even though I invited her twice”
Mariah “I’m never there”
Mariah “I got married too young”
Oprah “I knew that back then”
Something between these two seems very artificial and unnatural.
