Rihanna to star in a movie

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

RihannaRihanna is set to star in the film Mama Black Willow, Perez reports.

“Mama Black Widow is the portrait of a black family’s migration from the southern Mississippi fields of the segregated south to the ghettoized black underworld of Chicago during the 1930’s. The story follows Otis Tilson’s struggle to keep his family together as they navigate through a world of alcoholism, pimping, sexual deviation and racial degradation. Told in the gut level language of the original novel by Iceberg Slim, the family’s journey is a harsh testament of lives lived on the margins of a racist and predatory world.” [Source: IMdB]

Let’s hope for Rihanna’s sake, that it’s not going to flop.

Good Luck Rihanna.

Crystal Skull Kingdom?!

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

It’s been more than 18 years since the last part of the trilogy of Indiana Jones hit the cinemas. In a month the sequel “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” will premier at the Cannes Film Festival in France to be released to the general public on 22nd May.

Apparently Spielberg who is involved in the new release again and Lucas couldn’t settle arguments over the script until recently. Harrison Ford was just about to pull out when they finally settled their disagreement to bring us Indiana Jones IV. Delicious!

It doesn’t really tell you much about the plot. But it looks like they have been doing a good job making this a motion picture that can be enjoyed by itself or as part of the series. Totally in line with the previous work, or so I hope. Can’t wait…

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Palace will hit cinemas worldwide on the 22nd May 2008
